I've been working on my page some more today.  I added some pictures to the picture page.  There is now a page with pictures of mine and Josh's first apartment and pictures of a fire!!  :)  I'm going to add pictures of our current apartment but I have to get the pictures from Josh!

We had a good weekend.  Saturday we went to a county park and climbed around on the rocks and looked at the beautiful scenery.  It was a fun time and the weather was beautiful!  It also gave us something to do on Sunday afternoon.

Hope you have a great week!

Yesterday was Memorial Day.  To make the most of our day off, Josh and I went to Minocqua, WI with my family.  There were 7 of us total on the trip.  We had a great time.  Here are some of the highlights of the day:

  • Playing Mini Golf and making up our own rules as we played the game.
  • An emergency trip to Wal-Mart for sunscreen for the Fair Maiden Melinda.
  • A Paddle-Boat tour of a cheezy swamp!
  •  Go-Kart races!  (I won!!)
  • Window Shopping (when you window shop you can still spend money...right?)
  • Dinner at the Paul Bunyan Restaurant.

Window Shopping:  We all decided to go visit the quaint shops in downtown Minocqua.  I promised Josh that we were just window shopping!  So, first store, they had some cool things.  (Ask my brother Mark about the bird book.)  In the store, Josh finds a small stuffed duck and decides he NEEDS it!  (For the back ground to that, please read this story.)

The second store we went into  was a small General Store/Toy Store.  And wouldn't you know, Josh finds something else he can't live without.  This time we emerge with a Rubber Band Gun and a promise to NEVER shoot it at his wife!

The third store was an Antique Store.  This is a huge store with different booths for vendors to peddle their wares.  While there, we see this great oil painting that is of a field of daisy's.  We look at it, walk around some more, come back to it talk about how we would like to have it and then walk around some more.  Find Mom:  hey, come look at this picture.  Mom likes it too.  Proceed to checkout!  Here's a picture of this grand painting!

   So much for Window Shopping!!

All-in-all we had a great day and came home exhausted!
